I Braved The Fair For My Family!

We took the kids to the Stratham Fair Saturday. I'm not a fan of the fair. That's putting it nicely. In all actuality I would prefer going to the dentist or maybe even the gynecologist to going to the fair. But the kids love the fair. Eric was going to take Hunter, Emily & Wyatt while Finn and I stayed home because it was so hot that we figured Finn would hate it just as much as I would and he would be very fussy. But then I thought about the looks on their faces that I would miss.........

I think the petting zoo was my favorite part. The baby goats were adorable. The sheep were pushy little jerks! The lamas didn't spit on us, and Hunter was very excited to see Donkey. We think Shrek was hiding in the trailer. I'll admit that the animals smelled better than a lot of the fair goers, but there was plenty of hand sanitizer on the way out!


The rides cost a fortune, but they were worth every penny!

Emily Turned 7!!!!

This year Emily decided that she wanted to have her party at home. Luckily her birthday fell on a Sunday so that we could have her party on her actual birthday. She invited 16 girls and we had a "Backyard Birthday Bash". Eric set up the Banzai Falls water slide, the kiddie pool, a racing Slip n' Slide and an octopus sprinkler that didn't work. The girls all had a great time. They also broke out the Karaoke machine, and it only took a couple hours for my headache to go away!

The boys had a great time too. Hunter lasted a good hour before retreating to the house to escape the girls (and play Guitar Hero). He made it back out for the pinata, but he had to wear the same blindfold as everyone else.

Finn hung out in the screen house most of the day, and loved being out in the warm breeze.

I have a blog????

I never thought I would have a blog. I'm not even really sure what a blog is, but they look pretty neat! Why is it called a blog? I don't like that word for some reason.
I'm hoping to use this place as a way to share new pictures and stories with our friends and family without having to type up a gazillion emails, and spend an untold number of hours waiting for my demon possessed computer to attach files. The challenge now will be in trying to keep our blog up with our life.
Emily just celebrated her 7th birthday so that's going to be my first project. I should be packing the kids for their trip to Geena's (my mom), but I'm sitting here blogging instead. Eric's going to love that one. Just what I need, another addiction!!!
